How It Works | FAQs

How long will it take?

Pressing and preserving flowers is a lengthy process when done properly. We utilize traditional, slow, pressure pressing which means the moisture is literally squeezed out of your flowers over time. With this method we spend anywhere from 5-10 hours depending on the size of your bouquet over the first two weeks just swapping out the paper in our presses to keep your blooms dry and happy. It is an extremely lengthy, labor intensive and tedious process but we promise the results are 1000% worth it. We also color correct our flowers which is an added step and takes time. SO with that being said, you can expect to receive your finished frame within 4-6 months following your big day (this timeline can change at any time depending on capacities and peak season). We work as quickly as possible to get your finished product back to you.

How will my flowers change over time?

With flowers being an organic medium, changes and aging over time are inevitable. These changes would occur whether you air dried your bouquet, pressed your bouquet or even sealed it within resin - there is just no natural way to preserve their color long term. All flowers will eventually fade over time and give your frame a beautiful antique look to it. Your bouquet will always be your special bridal bouquet regardless of the color changes over time - just like your wedding dress color will age over time as well. Please keep your frame out of direct sunlight, away from high heat and humidity to help the color remain as long as possible. Color correction is available in some cases if you prefer a more vibrant end result.

Where are you located?

We work out of our homes , in milford and asbury NJ , about an hour from NYC and Philadelphia

Can I ship you my flowers if I’m not local?

Yes! We can accept fresh flowers from all across the US via overnight or express shipping. We’ll provide you with instructions to follow so your blooms will arrive safe and sound. Please note the cost to ship your flowers to us and return shipping of your finished item is the responsibility of the customer. We love working with local customers because you can save so much on shipping costs. But we are more then happy to work with customers further away and have done so many times. We have had flowers shipped from as far as California to New Jersey that turned out beautifully.

How do I care for my bouquet to ensure it preserves well?

There are a few things you can do to make sure your bouquet arrives in good condition - but there are also a few things that are out of our control.

1. Keep your bouquet in water whenever possible throughout your big day. It’s best to assign someone to the task of caring for you bouquet as you’ll be too busy throughout the day!

2. Don’t toss your bouquet! Have your florist do up a mini toss bouquet to throw instead.

3. Let your florist know you’re having your bouquet preserved and request they don’t use any sprays (Crowning Glory, floral spray paint etc).

4. Do not mist your bouquet with water!

5. Drop your bouquet off within 2 days of your wedding.

What we can’t control:

1. The age of the flowers your florist uses in your bouquet.

2. The variety of flowers your florist uses (some white rose varieties press better and “whiter” than others).

Don’t stress about the things we can’t control but do your best to care for your flowers while they’re in your hands for a better chance at beautifully preserved flowers.

Do I need to reserve my wedding date ahead of time?

Ideally, yes. We accept last minute bouquets when possible but all of our dates are first come first serve. We only have a limited number of presses and space so once they are full they are full. Please reach out if interested, we always do our best to accommodate last minute requests.

Will my final frame be identical to my bouquet?

Virtually all flowers and greenery will dry somewhat different than it looks fresh. Some colors will be preserved and some will lose or change color as they dry. A good analogy to envision is the way a grey shirt looks when wet vs. when it’s dry. When the moisture is removed from the wet shirt the material lightens and changes color significantly. This is true for almost all flowers. Almost all blooms will fade slightly (some will deepen in color) and have more of an antique look to them. This is especially true for white flowers which dry to a creamy, antique yellow/beige. Please keep this in mind when booking your all white bouquet and refer to example images in our photo gallery. If you have a variety of white flowers in your bouquet they will each press to different shades of off-whites/beiges. With that being said, we do our best to replicate the look and feel of your fresh bouquet whenever possible!
